Meanwhile, in other news...
Rob points out that there is more going on than a Prime Minister not resigning today.
And I have some news of my own... I got invited for my first interview today since I started applying for jobs a couple of months ago. Being greeted by a resounding silence every time you send off a heavy application form that took you hours to fill in, is not good for one's self-esteem, but just getting an interview for this particular job more than makes up for it.
I am chuffed to bits.

Don't get your hopes up too high: G Brown believes that the job is reserved for him.
Yes, but Brown doesn't know how good an interview I can give. I brush my hair and everything.
Good luck with the interview.
From experience just tell them everything they want to hear. You know...all that bullshit about teamworking* etc etc etc. And try to look like you mean it. That helps.
*Teamworker - euphemism for lack of technical ability
Yeah good luck Scribbles, it can be a bit hard sending off all those applications time and again can't it.
I just started a new job today, have been looking for ages so it was good to get somewhere.
Problem is it's a temp role - could be six months, could be six weeks.
Phu
Good luck in your new job, Phu!
